In relation to my beliefs, the reason my views went from black and white to a spectrum of colors is because of the this example.
Grab a piece of paper and write a “ m ” on it. (or click the “See example” button below).
Now imagine 4 people are standing at each edge of that paper looking down on it.
Now rotate that piece of paper 90 degrees, repeat 3 more times it until you come back to the “m” orientation.
Each person from each edge, is seeing the same thing, yet its different for each of them. Your intent was to communicate the Letter “M”, but each person see’s something different from where they’re standing(view point).
Now think about:
So who’s wrong?
Who’s right?
After reflecting on & absorbing the perspective example, it made me realize that even though we may think we’re (always) right, or people should know the intent of what we’re trying to communicate. They often don’t, because they see it from their perspective(viewpoint).
Which leads me back to communication being important.
“I believe” communicating intent, meaning, perspective while understanding and being open to others interpretations is important.
You don’t have to agree, but “I feel” everyone should at least be open and willing to listen and try. Who knows, it might be enlightening.
Anyway, enough of my preaching …
